What we did yesterday

( I love cotton candy)

We spent the day yesterday at the Mississippi State Fair!

This was a family outing. We saw tons of people we knew. Ate lots of fair food. Rode as many rides as we could. Took pictures. Bought taffy. Listened to music. Pet animals. Got a free biscuit. Finishing the day up looking around in the Trademart Building.

The weather was absolutely perfect. Fall just rolled in making for a 78 °F afternoon.

I saw a trend of stuffed animals: minions, unicorns, raccoons…

"Could someone pass me a brush", said the guy above.

"Everyone else is eating carrots, I'll just eat this sign", said the guy below.

Photographing animals has always been one of my all time favorites. Finding this free petting tent made for a great enjoyable funny at times shoot.

(Me and my love on the sky scraper)

Great day to be a Murphy for sure! One of the last things we do each year is ride the sky scraper. #familytraditions

Who's Bigger

Well, the pass several weeks we've had the pleasure of spending the day with each of these little green round guys. I figured it'd be fun today to share just what they all looked like lined up next to the yard stick in size.

Fred - lower left picture above - he is the biggest one
Pedal - lower right picture above - he is the middle man, second to smallest
Sammy - upper left picture above - he is the smallest
Engine - upper right picture above - he is the second biggest

Guess who got out of line first!? Yelp, that's Sammy! See picture below. Fred said, "hey man, where are you going".

And again, Sammy's first to go!

Fred said, "forget it, I am going too". Silly turtles!!!

This is where it all began, Meet the Turtles.

Be on the look out soon for what they eat, the cleaning of their bowl, how they stay warm in the winter and more…

DIY Watch Cleaning

What you will need:

a watch
toothpaste
washcloth
dab of water

Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the facing of your watch. Wet the end of you washcloth over the tip of your finger. Smear the toothpaste lightly all over the watch with the damp washcloth. Continue wiping until all traces of toothpaste are gone. You might need an additional dab of water.

All clean! Enjoy! See it sparkle…
