List maker of thanks palms wide open on this Saturday morning
The creeping strikes of sun light shinning on the sides of my curtains
Sounds of water coming from the kitchen
Sounds of opening and closing oven door
My stomach grumbling
My dogs desire to get back in the bed with me
The sounds of her paws walking from one side of the bed to the next
Her waiting patiently till I grab her up only to jump backdown seconds later
The smell of cinnamon
The stirring sounds of a spoon against a coffee mug
And the list goes on,
I give thanks for this shinny Saturday breaking in the spring at a shuttling resting pace...
